Alan Moore Is Not Politically Correct. He Is Just Correct. Always.

Watchmen Weekend Continues!
* This is a great piece on Watchmen and existentialism, and the various character philosophies. The book Watchmen & Philosophy is also extremely interesting, and is a nice intellectual break after hours of "OMFGWTFBBQ Rorschach is AWESOME."

* Here's an interview with Jackie Earle Haley, who as all smart people know plays Rorschach. While this article doesn't DIRECTLY have anything to do with Watchmen, Haley is all sorts of amazing, and as you can see in this and other interviews, he really thinks about the characters he's playing. He's also a big fan of the comic, and wanted them to film one of the best scenes in the GN, which didn't make it into the movie because life is cruel.

* And here's an interview about the movie, with Haley. Anyway, JEH answers questions sent in by fans, INCLUDING A RORSCHACH BLOT. I love people, sometimes. Usually in relation to Watchmen. Also, hearing bits of Rorschach's monologue in French is kind of hot. Oh, and he calls Batman 'Batty-Boy.' WIN.

* These are just incredibly cute. But the Comedian one looks constipated:

* I want all this stuff. All of it. Because you can NEVER have enough Watchmen stuff. OR CAN YOU? How's about I try, and if something horrible happens, I will serve as a lesson and cautionary tale to my fellow fans. So buy me all these things:

HE'S HAPPY. AND VIOLENT. HE IS VIOLENTLY HAPPY.

* And another video, this one with most of the cast, and a reminder that Patrick Wilson is very sexy (and yet I still love him most when he's crying naked in the basement, because his unmentionables don't obey him) and that Billy Crudup is very charming when he's not being a tool. And Jeffrey Dean Morgan looks freakily like Robert Downey, Jr. Which is puzzling, but not unpleasant.

* I know I've posted it before, but the merging of Arrested Development and Watchmen needs to happen constantly, in all our lives, forever. The end.

There will be more
